How to Convert your eBucks into Rands and Shop Easily
Overview
Financial institutions have a number of rewards programmes designed to improve the shopping experiences of customers.
The eBucks Rewards programme is First National Bank (FNB) and RMB Private Bank’s rewards programme. The rewards programme allows you to earn and spend eBucks at various merchants nationwide.
You can earn eBucks whenever you use your qualifying FNB or RMB Private Bank account. When you use your bank card at an eBucks partner, you earn more eBucks from the partner as well.
For instance, if you earn eBucks, you can also convert them into Rands to buy airtime or data using internet banking. To convert your eBucks into Rands in this instance, all you’d need to do is use your online banking and FNB would convert for you.
How eBucks work:
eBucks is South Africa’s leading multi-partner rewards programme from FNB. Shopping and banking can earn you rewards.
Your eBucks never expire, so you can save them for a while.
When you convert your eBucks into Rands, ten eBucks is worth one Rand.
To pay in the eBucks shop, you need an active eBucks account and an FNB or RMB Private Bank Cheque or credit card.
You have three options for shopping in the eBucks shop:
- eBucks only
- Rands only
- eBucks and Rands
Rand-only deals reward you with great savings just for banking with FNB.
eBucks and Rands deals mean that you pay less Rands by increasing the amount of eBucks you pay.
With eBucks Rewards you save money every time you spend. When you use your bank card at an eBucks partner, you earn more eBucks from the partner. You can spend your eBucks on whatever you want. Swipe any of the qualifying cards and you could earn up to 2.5% back on your purchases. The effective reward is R1 per R1000 of qualifying spend.
