Capfin Loans from Ackermans
Overview
The first Ackermans store in South Africa was officially opened in Wynberg Cape Town. Bought by the Pepkor Group in 1986, there are now more than 450 stores in 5 countries. With a purpose to bring value to life, Ackermans also has a comprehensive financial services range to offer clients. In partnership with Capfin, Ackermans offers personal loan services. Going to the bank to apply for a personal loan can be quite an intimidating experience, so Capfin created a simpler method of obtaining access to credit.
By simply walking into any Ackermans store nationwide, individuals can apply for a Capfin loan. This way, they can avoid lengthy queues and invasive face-to-face interviews. Individuals can get up to R20 000 of finance by presenting their valid identity document at an Ackermans store till point. It will be screened at the till and applicants will also be required to provide a phone number on which they will be accessible. Within 15 minutes, a response will be sent via SMS. Qualifying individuals will then receive a phone call from one of Capfin’s friendly, trained consultants. They will request further details such as bank details, affordability assessment, repayment terms etc.
Once clients agree to the terms of the credit agreement, funds will be directly deposited into their account. They can then use the funds however they see fit. This may include paying for tuition fees, car repairs or unexpected expenses.
