As a registered credit provider, FNB abides by the lending legislation set by the National Credit Act. Applicants need to between the ages of 18 and 63 years, with an active bank account for at least 3 months. They need to own a valid South African I.D. or passport. Individuals earning monthly salaries need to furnish proof in the form of one months’ payslip. Those earning fortnightly need to present two payslips and those paid weekly need to provide four payslips. Individuals who bank with a different bank must provide 3 months’ bank statements as well as proof of employment for 6 months. In order to be considered for the loan, individuals must have a residual amount of more than R750 after paying all bills.
